Vehicle Depollution Services — Important Update

After more than 20 years of vehicle depollution, Newport Recycling will no longer be depolluting cars on site. From October 31, 2025, we will only accept fully depolluted vehicles. Any untreated vehicles will be refused at the gate. This change comes as we remove our depollution bay to make way for the expansion of our non-ferrous operations, allowing us to focus on higher-value recycling, site improvements, and efficiency upgrades. We understand this may impact some of our long-standing customers, and we apologise for the short notice. While we had originally planned to continue depollution until the end of the year, this change is necessary to support our upcoming transition. If you currently deliver vehicles to our site, please ensure they are completely depolluted prior to arrival. We will not have the facilities or licensing to process or drain any cars after October 31, 2025. We appreciate everyone who has supported this service over the years — it’s been a huge part of what we do, and we’re proud of what we’ve achieved together. We now look forward to the next chapter as we grow our non-ferrous operations and continue delivering strong recycling outcomes for our customers and community. For any questions or clarification, please contact our team before delivery.
